Dominating it are the splendid St. Vigilius Cathedral, a treasure trove of centuries-old history, the imposing Praetorian Palace that houses the Diocesan Museum, the square tower that towers majestically at 45 meters high, the baroque Neptune fountain and two admirable examples of the mural art that has earned Trento the nickname "painted city" The visit concludes at the gardens of Buonconsiglio Castle, a medieval fortress and sumptuous residence of the prince-bishops.
